But it was only on loan from my uncle at the time so I didn’t have to buy it, just use it. It did really well and the brightness options were ace. I changed them twice while down there and even remembered which model it was when we got back up to the surface.

The other head torch is basically a cheaper version of the Ledlenser. They won’t like me saying that but if you’re on a budget this would be the choice.

It’s rechargeable and I personally have access to decent quality 18650 battery cells, so the provided cheaper 1200mAh batteries would not be an issue (they’ll last a while, but not as long as a high-quality LG 3400mAh cell would).
